It's tough to write them talking about their issues without coming across as whiny and/or self-absorbed. They aren't, but it's not easy getting that across. They're very different men with valid reasons to take the stances they stand with.

Not trying to brag but I think I understand why Dr. Solondez talks about that alienation that may come (to some people) who (are maybe forced to) live an unusual live, and I think I also get why angry-faced "Rex" said "yes" without a doubt, and why he said it angry-faced.

HE lived an extraordinary live and while he may have some regrets, he is of the opinion that it was worth it (dammit).

You are 100% right.

Then again, Rex's unusual life came with fame, fortune, and loads of hot ladies. Some characters here's unusual life came from poverty, physical and mental disabilities, and life-altering traumas.
