Hi Roman,
I don't know how much control you have over the mechanics of your comic site, here, but if there's anyway to add (not move) the FIRST/PREV/NEXT/LAST navigation links to the TOP of the comic, that would be a big help. I feel like I have to avert my eyes everytime I'm more than 1 comic behind just to get back to where I'd left off without getting spoiled on later strips.

Thanks and keep up the great work!

I talked to our techie about it and we'll see what he does.

Thank you!!

I just got back from my tech guy. He says there's nothing he can do about it. Sorry :(

Ok, thanks for checking into it.

...Just to clarify, It is Corelle saying "I don't mind", right? Cuz if it's her mom, then something is screwy.
Also, why does the check have pigs on it?

1. It's Corelle. It has her font.

2. It's a symbol of humanity's piggish affinity for exploration.

is Quen a fan of dragon ball Z? and does Corelle feel anything in her arms anymore?

Quen is a fan of anything kitsch. Later on in this chapter we get to see the full extent of his fascination with "wonderfully horrible things".

Phantom limb syndrome... Dr. Vilayanur S. Ramachandran has studied the phenomena extensively and written about it and other neurological oddities in his book Phantoms in the Brain: Probing the Mysteries of the Human Mind.

It can be quite painful sometime when the amputee perceives her hand gripping and his unable to release. He devised methods to relieve this malady...

I suspect that practicing with an artificial hand would remap the phantom limb onto the hardware and thus avoid any of the usual problems...

OBTW: Cs mother is a mercenary SOB and had already sold her daughter to the packing house (figuratively)... her indignity was a way of asking for more zeros... :\

Dr. Ramachandran was an amazing guy. Can you imagine how many people told him his observations were bullshit? We owe him a lot.

We have recently seen the introduction of a new kind of leg prosthesis treatment that brings a form of sensitivity to the artificial limb: http://www.medicaldaily.com/new-prosthetic-leg-helps-patients-regain-feeling-post-amputation-and-fights-phantom-337254

You can "feel" the pressure when the foot touches the ground much more and it works with the phantom limb phenomenon as an advantage and help with the pain it can cause.

As for your take on Corelle's mom.... you're pretty much right. We hadn't thought about it that way, but yeah. That totally holds water.

I've actually met Dr. Ramachandran some 15 years ago or so at a talk he gave at UC Davis. He was bright, humble, and very approachable... almost the opposite to Steven Pinker who presented in the same lecture series.

As to the article... very interesting... I was speculating, but its nice to guess right occasionally. :D

I really liked the pigs on the check.
It is so funny to see that everybody has trouble finding check designs that fit your business!

Corelle's relationship with her mother is so scarily like my own was at 15 oh man.
